Craft tradition

Learning a craft is challenging; it is where intellect and physical skills merge. It is about learning what is traditional – what was important, what is important, and ultimately defining what should be important. However, finding your own unique design philosophy requires some rejection of tradition to embrace uncertainty, and perhaps failure.

Failure is scary, yet this state of vulnerability supports your most authentic work. It is where your most creative, unique work is created.

Craft should change with the times, after all, craft objects are (meaningful) tools for living in the here and now.
